access the remote border areas in Ha Giang province including 4 border
districts Dong Van, Meo Vac, Quan Ba, Yen Minh. Previously, travellers
must apply for this permit at Ha Giang Immigration Department. But now, for
the convenience of tourists visiting Ha Giang from different ways each
district has an immigration unit based in town issuing permits directly to
visitors. The procedure has become even more convenient as the hotel staff
can help arrange permits for guests staying at their hotels. Each permit
allows maximum 5 passengers, fee is 10 usd.
